Job Description:
Assent Advisory Group is seeking Payment Integrity, Financial Management, Statistical Analysis, and Program Support professionals to support anticipated Payment Oversight Program (POP) and Improper Payment Information Act (PIIA) compliance activities. Successful candidates will support enterprise-wide payment integrity initiatives, improper payment identification, statistical sampling, risk assessments, financial analysis, program oversight, data analytics, SharePoint and dashboard modernization, corrective action evaluation, and executive reporting. Team members will collaborate with leadership, program offices, financial management organizations, statisticians, auditors, and stakeholders to improve payment accuracy, strengthen internal controls, and comply with OMB and federal payment integrity requirements. This opportunity supports a broad range of functional roles including Program Analysts, Senior Program Analysts, Subject Matter Experts, Financial Analysts, Project Managers, Statisticians, Data Analysts, SharePoint Solution Specialists, and Program Management professionals.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Support payment integrity and improper payment oversight initiatives.
- Conduct program analysis, financial analysis, research, and evaluation activities.
- Develop reports, briefings, presentations, white papers, and executive-level deliverables.
- Perform risk assessments, internal control reviews, and compliance evaluations.
- Support implementation of OMB Circular A-123 and federal payment integrity requirements.
- Analyze complex datasets and identify trends, risks, root causes, and corrective actions.
- Design, validate, and support statistical sampling methodologies and projection models.
- Conduct statistical analysis and assist with development of annual improper payment estimates.
- Support development and maintenance of dashboards, reporting solutions, and data visualizations.
- Support SharePoint administration, data management, workflow automation, and business process improvements.
- Coordinate with Government stakeholders to collect, validate, and analyze financial and operational data.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, work plans, and status reports.
- Participate in quality assurance reviews and validation of technical deliverables.
- Provide subject matter expertise on payment integrity, financial management, auditing, risk management, and federal program operations.
- Support corrective action planning, monitoring, effectiveness reviews, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports in response to senior leadership, oversight organizations, and federal reporting requirements.
- Facilitate meetings, stakeholder engagements, workshops, and project reviews.
- Maintain professional communication with Government personnel, CORs, project teams, and executive stakeholders.
Experience:
- One (1) to fifteen (15)+ years of progressively responsible experience depending on position level.
- Experience supporting federal agencies, Department of Defense, or other large public sector organizations preferred.
- Experience in financial management, accounting, auditing, budget analysis, program management, risk management, or business consulting.
- Experience supporting payment integrity, improper payment reporting, internal controls, or compliance initiatives preferred.
- Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis using structured analytical methodologies.
- Experience developing executive briefings, reports, data visualizations, and technical documentation.
- Experience performing data analysis, statistical analysis, forecasting, projections, or trend analysis preferred.
- Experience with SharePoint, Power BI, Power Platform, SQL, Excel, statistical tools, or similar business intelligence platforms preferred.
- Experience supporting project management, stakeholder engagement, and multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
- Experience leading projects, providing technical direction, or supervising teams preferred for senior-level positions.
- Experience with federal statistical sampling methodologies, financial audits, or payment accuracy programs preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree preferred for senior-level, project management, and subject matter expert positions.
- Relevant education and professional experience combinations may be considered.
- Advanced degrees in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Financial Management, Public Policy, or Business Administration are highly desirable for senior analytical and statistical positions.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred for Project Manager and Program Manager positions.
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification preferred for technology, systems, analytics, and business systems positions.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred for accounting and financial management positions.
- Membership in the American Statistical Association (ASA) preferred for senior statistical positions.
- Power BI, Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, ITIL, or related professional certifications preferred.
- Current federal security clearance preferred but not required for all positions.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust, Secret, or higher clearance if required by the contract.
