Job Description:
We’re hiring a Financial Analyst in the Norfolk, VA area to support our client. In this position, you’ll be the Financial Analyst responsible for the below. The team currently embraces a hybrid work model (this is not guaranteed, but likely to continue for the foreseeable future). Due to the nature of the role, only U.S. Citizens may be considered.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Compile and analyze financial information for an organization.
- Support senior management business decisions through financial and business analysis.
- Apply specific functional knowledge; working/general industry knowledge.
- Develop or contributes to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
- Work independently with some guidance.
- Provide financial system customer support to the user community, including user account setup and maintenance, account auditing, quality assurance checks, and functional troubleshooting
- Conduct financial system functional training for users and Tier 1 support personnel
Experience:
- Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen
- 4+ years of experience delivering financial management support to a DoD organization
- 2+ years of experience with the Standard Accounting, Budgeting and Reporting System (SABRS)
- Experience with Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), GFEBS, DAI, or comparable systems
- Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) Certification
- Experience with Command Financial Management System (CFMS) (Preferred)
Education:
- Bachelors degree and 2-4+ years of directly related experience or Masters degree and 0-2+ years directly related experience
- Bachelor’s degree must be in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Required)
Licenses/Certifications:
- CISA, CDFM, CGFM, CIA, and/or CPA (Preferred)
